Fall Break Just Got Awesome.
Games. Drones. Microelectronics. Robot Battles. And a Real PC Build.
Five all-day tech camps at the GenTech Support storefront in Phoenix. Choose your favorite single day or lock in the full week.
You have work. They have Fall Break. We’ve got the fun covered.
A fun week for kids and a practical solution for parents.
Every camp is led by an expert GenTech Instructor. Kids experience hands-on activities with real-world problem solving and real fun.
Fun First, Active Building
These aren't dry lectures or passive screen sessions. Campers build games, fly drones, wire circuits, battle robots, and assemble actual PC hardware.
Two Age-Appropriate Tracks
Primary campers (ages 5–8) and Advanced campers (ages 9+) explore matched daily themes at the right complexity level for their development.
Productive Break Time
An ideal alternative to sitting on phones or iPads all day. Kids socialize, solve problems, and build confidence with modern engineering tools.
Five Action-Packed Daily Themes
Day 1: Game On!
Design and program your very own video game from scratch. Campers will build player controls, create custom game levels and obstacles, and test their game to make it even more fun to play.
Primary Track
Ages 5–8 • Beginner FriendlyDesign characters, program movement with blocks, and build your own playable games and animated stories using ScratchJr.
- Design custom characters & world backgrounds
- Program character controls using drag-and-drop blocks
- Build a playable game to share with friends
Advanced Track
Ages 9+ • Beginner to IntermediateDesign, code, and test your own 2D video games using MakeCode Arcade. Build player controls, levels, and high scores.
- Program player physics, jumps, & controls
- Build custom game levels, hazards, & scoring
- Playtest your game and refine the gameplay
Day 2: Drone Discovery!
Learn to fly a drone, then code it to fly on its own. Campers will practice their flying skills, take on obstacle courses, and complete fun flight missions throughout the day.
Primary Track
Ages 5–8 • Flight BasicsLearn flight controls, obstacle maneuvering, and team flight missions with mini drones.
- Learn basic flight controls & maneuvering
- Fly mini drones through indoor hoop obstacles
- Team up to complete flight challenge courses
Advanced Track
Ages 9+ • Autonomous FlightProgram drones to fly automatically, execute flight paths, and navigate obstacles using block code.
- Code automatic takeoff, movement, & flips
- Program flight paths to navigate obstacle runs
- Complete team-based autonomous flight missions
Day 3: Mighty Micros!
Build circuits, connect sensors, and use code to make lights, sounds, and alarms come to life. Campers will experiment with real electronic components and see how their code can control things in the real world.
Primary Track
Ages 5–8 • Snap Circuits & LightExplore electricity with snap circuits, LED projects, and light-up gadgets.
- Build working circuits with snap-together parts
- Connect LED lights & buzzers to power loops
- Create hands-on light-up paper electronics
Advanced Track
Ages 9+ • Micro:bit & SensorsUse code, sensors, and real electronic components to build working projects, including a motion-activated alarm.
- Connect real electronic components to bring circuits to life
- Program light displays, sound effects, & sensors
- Code a working motion-activated security alarm
Day 4: Radical Robots!
Build a robot. Test it. Improve it. Then battle it. Campers will learn how their robot moves, make adjustments to their build, and put their creation to the test in fun arena challenges.
Primary Track
Ages 5–8 • Motorized RoboticsConstruct motorized rovers, test gear setups, and compete in fun robot push challenges.
- Assemble motorized robotic rovers & structures
- Make adjustments to improve how your robot moves
- Test your bot in friendly sumo pushing matches
Advanced Track
Ages 9+ • Smart Combat BotsBuild and program combat robots with motors and sensors to compete in arena battles.
- Build and customize your robot
- Program how your robot moves and reacts
- Improve your design between arena matches
Day 5: Crazy Computer Builds!
Work with real computer parts, learn what the major components do, and build a fully functional desktop computer. Campers get hands-on experience in our repair shop lab and get to take their complete computer build home at the end of the day!
Advanced Track Only
Ages 9+ • Full Assembly & Hardware LabAssemble real desktop computers from raw components, install operating systems, and take your complete computer home!
- Learn how the parts of a computer fit together and build a working desktop
- Install power supplies, drives, & cabling
- Configure system settings & boot Windows
